Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.
- 2nd line manager with senior leaders and professionals as direct reports. Has ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise within function. Growing reputation within the organization. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.
- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
- Has major influence on small business unit, a segment within a larger business unit, a family within a Function or a P&L business segment and has ownership/influence over budgets. The role is guided by functional policy. The role influences policy/operating guidelines about important subjects.
- Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial, operations or other equivalent discipline (a must for candidates in Hungary)
- Extensive proven experience in Quality/Materials/Operations across plants or business units.
- Evidence of knowledge of the Quality Sciences -APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA.
- Some previous leadership experience in management, supervision or project/program leadership.
- Ability to read engineering prints and drawings.
- Proven lean experience,
- Several years of plant experience in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, or Procurement.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Proven experience with Gas Turbine and/or Capital Equipment (Engineering and Manufacturing)
- Fluency in English language in writing and speaking
- Willingness and ability to travel for business up to 50% of working time.

- Lean Supply Chain Acumen - understands the key value creation processes within the Procurement function and the role Supplier Development plays in deploying lean with our supply base to improve delivery and quality.
- Project Management - has demonstrated understanding of project planning and status tracking, and drives project execution.
- Business Thinking/Strategizing -Has general knowledge of regional suppliers, industry trends and new process/technology.
- Problem Solving - has demonstrated the ability to lead a team through the root cause and corrective action process. General understanding of the problem-solving techniques.

A National Collective Bargaining Agreement ('NCBA' - Metalworking) is applicable in relation to the position. Below, we indicate the relevant provisions of the remuneration regulations applicable at the Employer. The available benefits based on the currently effective CBA and company policies include the following:
Stipendio Base: La retribuzione seguirà le tabelle salariali previste dal CCNL di categoria Metalmeccanico Industria
Base salary: The remuneration is established according to the Metalworking CBA salary scale, which defines job groups and minimum salary levels.
Pensione Integrativa (Cometa): Tutti i livelli sono eligibili, ad eccezione dei dirigenti.
Contributo del datore di lavoro: 2% (2,2% se under 35). Contributo del dipendente: 1,2%. Base di calcolo: retribuzione mensile lorda.
Pension Fund (Cometa): All levels are eligible, except executives (dirigenti).
Employer Contribution: 2% (2.2% if under 35). Employee Contribution: 1.2%. Base: monthly gross salary.
