Job Description Summary

The Global Accounts Sales Specialist is a key member of the Global Accounts organization within GSI, providing back-office support to the Global Accounts Leader and the broader Global Accounts community. This role is responsible for enabling consistent processes, tools, and governance across our global account portfolio, ensuring high-quality execution of account plans, and driving visibility into all global customer interactions.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, process discipline, and attention to detail with the ability to collaborate effectively across regions, functions, and seniority levels.

Job Description

1. Process Design & Governance

  • Partner with the Global Accounts Leader to define, document, and continuously improve standard processes for global account management (e.g., account planning, pipeline management, governance routines).
  • Roll out new processes globally, including preparing communication materials, training content, and documentation.
  • Monitor adherence to established processes, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the creation and execution of governance cadences (QBRs, MBRs, account reviews, global account councils, etc.).

2. Tools, Systems & Reporting

  • Develop, update, and maintain tools (e.g., templates, dashboards, trackers) to support the Global Accounts community in opportunity management, forecasting, and account planning.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure CRM and related systems effectively support global account requirements.
  • Create and maintain standardized reporting for global accounts, including pipeline, revenue performance, coverage, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive data quality and consistency across systems, ensuring accurate and timely information for management decision-making.

3. Global Account Planning & Execution Support

  • Coordinate the annual and ongoing global account planning process, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines.
  • Support account teams in developing, updating, and maintaining comprehensive global account plans (including customer landscape, stakeholders, initiatives, opportunities, and risks).
  • Track progress against account plan objectives and key performance indicators; provide regular updates to the Global Accounts Leader and relevant stakeholders.
  • Help ensure alignment between regional/local teams and global account strategies.

4. Customer Meetings & Interaction Management

  • Build, maintain, and track a centralized schedule and record of all key customer meetings and interactions at the global level (e.g., executive briefings, strategic reviews, steering committees).
  • Coordinate pre- and post-meeting activities, including agenda preparation, briefing documents, presentations, and follow-up action tracking.
  • Ensure that outcomes from meetings (decisions, actions, commitments) are captured in the appropriate tools and reflected in account plans.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Serve as a central coordination point between the Global Accounts Leader, regional sales teams, product lines, marketing, commercial operations, and other functions involved in global accounts and that are part of the GSI commercial organization.
  • Support the deployment of global commercial initiatives, campaigns, and key strategic programs within global accounts.
  • Assist with internal communication to the Global Accounts community (newsletters, updates, best practice sharing, success stories).
  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses, presentations, and projects in support of the Global Accounts strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales support, sales operations, key account management support, or similar commercial roles in a B2B environment.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar) and sales reporting tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel dashboards, BI tools) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior commercial leaders or cross-regional teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage, depending on region.
