Job Description
Explore the possibilities of a research career in a Summer 2027 internship at GE Vernova Advanced Research. Research Interns are the pipeline for the GE Vernova Advanced Research Program. The Program is an intensive development role for those with a passion for research, a drive for technical excellence, and a shared appreciation for our GE Vernova Way to drive innovation, serve our customers, embrace LEAN, win as one team, and be accountable to deliver.

As a Research Intern, you will:
- Apply your academic knowledge and experience to real-life technical problems.

Required Qualifications:
- Current or upcoming enrollment in a full-time Masters Degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or related STEM discipline from an accredited university or college.
- A passion for research and development, critical thinking, scientific reasoning, data analytics and interpretation and teamwork.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. This role is not eligible for employer immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

- Prior internship or co-op experience in an industrial research environment

- Focused: sets strategic priorities, uses scientific reasoning, data analytics to make decisions, critical thinker
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to community/university involvement
- Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale cumulative GPA (without rounding).
Employment Dates:
May or June 2027 to August 2027 (Summer).

The pay range for this position is $1,000-$2,000 USD weekly. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for:
Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
