Job Description Summary
In this position, you will lead a team responsible for the overall planning and material flow for the manufacturing of nuclear fuel for commercial nuclear power reactors. You will provide guidance and support to individual area leaders in the Fuel Manufacturing Operation (FMO) and Fuel Components Operation (FCO) plants. This role will also lead the fuel manufacturing ERP system transition to the Oracle ASCP.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the material planning team. Ensure team members are provided adequate training, resources and support to assure safe and compliant manufacturing practices in a nuclear regulated environment
- Support manufacturing leaders in the strategic planning of production, staffing, equipment and other resources
- Be the subject matter expert on production planning including ERP and other planning systems
- Select, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel
- Be responsible for developing a robust production schedule requirements
- Work with manufacturing engineering, manufacturing quality, other support functions and manufacturing leadership to provide production planning leadership. Identify, effectively communicate, and own to resolution issues that may arise.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing. Focus team on constantly seeking opportunity for improvement.
- High-level utilization of Lean Manufacturing principles to facilitate design and implementation of continuous improvement of processes with the team.
- Promote team engagement and ownership. Champion positive employee relations. Foster employee engagement and recognition. Develop and support the growth of all team employees

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 additional years of experience in a production planning or control role
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing planning, nuclear operations, technical or supervisory role.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in production planning, production control, materials planning, product management, scheduling or equivalent discipline.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times during the day
- Ability to operate a computer.
- This position will have extensive interaction with manufacturing teams at the Wilmington, NC facility. Daily site presence at the site is expected.
Desired Characteristics
- BS/BA in a technical or business subject
- Experience with production planning tools, specifically Oracle ASCP
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
- Computer programming experience related to database creation, access, and manipulation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to create real and positive change. Proactively identify and provide practical options to manage and mitigate risks.
- Actively participates and leads efforts to solve problems.
- Knowledge of nuclear fuel manufacturing
- Experience working in Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated environment.
- Proven facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to both resolve daily urgent issues at the same time as working on continuous improvement projects.
- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification. Practical experience with identifying opportunities for and designing changes to processes based on Lean.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
