Job Description Summary

To be a Fitter to support repair process of GE gas turbine Hot Gas Path (HGP) components in PT GENTS Service Center. In this role, you will be an integral part of our skilled workforce, tasked with the precision welding and repair of gas turbine components to achieve highest quality products by complying to world class safety standards at all times.

II. Essential Functions, responsibilities

• Perform high-quality fitting operations on various gas turbine components using a range of techniques to ensure the component dimension and distortion are repaired back to GE standard

• Interpret and work based on shop work instructions and GE repair standards to achieve accurate and precise fitting

• Inspect and assess GE gas turbine components for any unserviceable defects and perform appropriate correction repair process
• Operate overhead crane with safely manner based on GE approved lifting plan
• Operate hydraulic jacking equipment to correct component distortion (as applicable) based on shop work instruction and GE repair standard
• Perform weldment on several components as needed
• Adhere to all EHS procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other operators, supervisors, engineers, and other staff for daily operations
• Raise any concerns and/or stop works if observing any unsafe condition or quality risks during daily job
• Participate in GE Lean Action Work Out (AWO) event

III. Qualifications requirements

• Minimum graduated from vocational high school with major of manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or other related disciplines
• Have at least two years working experience in fabrication (jacking process, crane usage, and welding process)
• Have experience with basic air tools and hydraulic jack equipment
• Possess overhead crane certification would be a plus
