Field Services Technician - On Site Services

Job Description Summary

GE Vernova have an exciting opportunity for a Field Services Technician to work for our wind business in and around Skanninge, Sweden.
The Field Services Technician completes field work as required based on the assigned work order. Essentially the technician is responsible to prepare the job plan, documents that defines the scope of outage and what is to be performed through engineering instructions, drawings, or any other process instructions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work independently, analysing faults and implementing the necessary repair of wind turbine generator systems and components.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance on wind turbine generators and their systems.
• Perform administrative tasks such as debriefing work orders, service requests, support writing technical reports, requesting advanced, technical support through case management, ordering materials when needed, preparing job status reports, time sheets, and expense sheets in a diligent and correct manner.
• Exercise good judgment in controlling costs and expenditures of the company fund.
• Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within the given safety standards.
• Support with coordinating external service providers when needed.

• Appropriately qualified technical experience (electrical) in related fields such as services, engineering, or operations.
• Strong EHS and Quality mindset
• Familiar with test equipment, testing procedures, reading drawings and work instructions.
• Computer literate using the laptop as a tool of trade.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

• Proven experience in field works.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and working irregular working hours (On-Call)
• Flexibility and profound understanding of the work environment
• Advanced computer skills (Office programs)
• Basic Workplace First Aid
