Job Description Summary

The Field Services Staffing and S&OP Manager (S&OP) is a senior level role within the GVH Field Services team and is responsible for leading the Field Services Staffing team. The Staffing Manager will lead the overall strategy and process of both the demand and supply management of project-based staffing, ensuring consistent support for the Field Services product lines. This role will work closely with Business Leaders, Project Management, Commercial Operations, Operations, Finance, and other functions to lead and execute best practice S&OP processes across the organization to improve internal and external customer satisfaction and enhance results for the business. This is an onsite role based in Wilmington, NC.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 salaried employees, with a high focus on meeting business/team priorities, driving employee career development, and using GE's People Leadership tools to set team and individual priorities, and evaluate direct reports based on performance.
  • Lead the staffing organization and own the overall strategy and process to develop near and long-term resource demand forecasts for our global customer outage needs.
  • Work closely with Field Services leaders to understand business needs and adjust the staffing strategy to meet these evolving needs.
  • Work closely with the Vendor Alliance Manager and Sourcing teams to ensure that Variable Work Force suppliers are meeting GVH business demands.
  • Ensure that issues and conflicts with GVH and Contractor staffing are addressed and resolved.
  • Partner with the Field Services Training Manager to ensure that new talent and leadership program employees are assigned to outage roles to develop the necessary on-the-job training to support their qualifications.
  • Work with GVH Commercial Operations team and Business Leaders to develop Outage Summary schedules to facilitate long term forecasting.
  • Establish clear and robust KPIs to measure progress and productivity of the staffing team.
  • Implement Performance improvement measures to ensure that the team is delivering on Business requirements.
  • Functional owner and subject matter expert for the Nuclear Staffing Database (NSD)
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to implement business strategies, validate forecast accuracy/methodology, provide input regarding staffing strategy, and align staffing needs with business and operational plans through the S&OP process.
  • Establish clear and robust KPIs to measure progress through S&OP process improvements and their tie to business revenue and profitability plans.
  • Ensures through the sourcing process, that the team is optimizing the supply base and creating improvements in the overall supply chain by enhancing the competitive process.
  • Conducts S&OP meetings:
    • Communicates any changes in trends to the organization on a regular basis
    • Adjusts forecasts as needed
  • Keeps team members informed of high/low supply or demand relative to forecast.
  • Creates presentations relating to the forecast and impacts on the forecast.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with minimum five (5) years of experience in resource managment.
  • OR
  • Associate degree from an accredited university with minimum seven (7) years of experience in resource managment.
  • 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel (including macros and pivot tables)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends during peak business times
  • Willingness and ability to travel short term to Customer outages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel
  • Ability to gain unescorted nuclear plant access
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work off hours based on business need

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with staffing software (P6 Primavera or equivalent), P6, MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with Tableau reporting system or equivalent
  • Prior experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to successfully interface with executive level management within Field Services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to follow through with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Ability to organize, assess, orchestrate, and then prioritize tasks and deliverables
  • Self-starter and highly organized administrative skills
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Works both independently and as part of a team.
  • Sets priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Prioritizes and works well under pressure, high say-do ratio.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $119,600.00 and $199,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
