What impact you'll make
As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) based in Italy (home office), you will report directly to the Field Service Manager in Massy, France. You will be an active member of the Field Services Engineering team, contributing to the installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspections, and repair of equipment at customer sites across Italy, Europe, and internationally, ensuring operational excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will coordinate the resources and logistics required to execute on-site service activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, refurbishment, and troubleshooting of existing systems. You will also be responsible for planning and executing field service operations within established procedures and functional guidelines, with a degree of autonomy while working under general supervision.

• Supervise construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at customer sites.
• Execute on-site machining, non-destructive testing, blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics.
• Make engineering decisions during on-site interventions.
• Develop deep knowledge in a technical discipline and apply prior experience to execute policies and strategies.
• Understand key business drivers and how the team's work contributes to the area.
• Propose solutions outside established parameters under guidance when needed.
• Solve technical tasks using analytical skills and internal resources.
• Act as an individual contributor with strong interpersonal skills or as an early-stage leader capable of hiring, developing talent, and providing informal guidance to new team members.

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or equivalent technical background
• Experience with on-site technical services and equipment maintenance, including experience as a Field Service Engineer in a large company.
• Strong expertise in electrotechnics, industrial electrical systems, medium-voltage drives, power converters, control and automation systems, with the ability to work on high-power systems.
• Willing to travel across Europe and internationally, approximately 80% of the time.
• Fluent in English

• Knowledge of electric motor mechanics and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication, with project planning and execution experience.
• Strong collaborative mindset with leadership potential, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with teams to achieve business objectives.
• Fluent in Italian and or French.
