FCO Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description Summary
Install, maintain, and repair internal factory equipment. Supervise employees who perform maintenance and tool making. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Select, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel.
- Ensure team members are provided adequate training, resources and support to assure safe and compliant maintenance activities in a nuclear regulated environment.
- Be responsible for meeting the team's strict EHS requirements, equipment repairs, PM completions and facility management.
- Assure maintenance activity planning - provides direction to support maintenance needs of Fuel Component Operations (FCO) including work assignments, scheduling and tracking of overtime, and training.
- Focus team on constantly seeking opportunity for improvement.
- Support, encourage and facilitate Human Performance and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Work with manufacturing engineering, support functions and FCO leadership to provide maintenance excellence, ensuring required PMs, calibrations and equipment reliability expectations are met.
- Communicate business goals, programs, and expectations to the team.
- Promote team engagement and ownership.
- Develop cross training opportunities where applicable. Enable knowledge sharing and transfer
- Support the growth of all team employees.
- Be accessible after normal working hours including weekends.
- Lead team of maintenance professionals across a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, a technical discipline, or other related field from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years' experience; OR an Associate's degree in Engineering, a Technical discipline, or other related field from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years' experience; OR a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of experience in an mechanical, electrical, or non-destructive testing (NDT) maintenance role.
- Work experience must include a minimum of at least one of the following:
- 1 year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or technical field consisting of mechanical, electrical, and non-destructive testing (NDT)
- OR
- 2 years technical experience in a manufacturing or technical field consisting of mechanical, electrical, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
- OR
- 3 years of mechanical/electrical/NDT maintenance experience in a manufacturing operation
Desired Characteristics
- BS/BA in a technical field
- Supervision experience in a manufacturing or technical field consisting of mechanical, electrical, and non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Experience working in Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated environment. Ability to interpret engineering documentation such as mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Experience in manufacturing or nuclear procedure and training development.
- Proven facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to create real and positive change.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification
- GE Program graduate, e.g., OMLP, EEDP (GE employees only).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
