Job Description Summary

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and efficiency of company facilities. This role ensures that buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and support the organization's operational needs. The Facility Manager coordinates maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors while managing budgets and improving facility performance.

Job Description

Facility Operations

  • Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Monitor facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets & Identify opportunities for cost savings / Energy Improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineers, and other facilities team members, to ensure project deliverables meet requirements and expectations with minimal impact to operations.
  • Manage office layouts, workspace planning, and facility improvements.
  • Track facility assets, equipment, and maintenance records.
  • Support facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate service contracts and ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Supervise contractors performing maintenance, construction, or renovation work.

EHS

  • Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local ordinances.

Team Management

  • Supervise facility staff, maintenance technicians, and custodial teams.
  • Provide training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualificatons

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in facility management, building operations, or maintenance management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex facilities, including maintenance, repair and operations.
  • Experience with project management, including capital projects and construction management.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Project management and budgeting skills including planning and scheduling
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
