Job Description Summary
As a member of a multi-disciplined team, deliver full switchboards solutions for a project (including LV MCC's, LV Power Centers, MV Switchgear, LV and MV inverters drives panels, and others) ensuring the design meets customer, contract, and regulatory requirements.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Execute electrical designs for medium voltage panels, low voltage powers centers, low voltage MCC's and control panels, in accordance to national and international standards;
- Specify electrical components to be used in a given project, according to customer specifications and according to current technical standards.
- Analyze all the technical documentation provided for the project, both the customer received as received from our commercial department in order to ensure compliance with the scope.
- Signalling any change or deviation from project scope to the lead engineers found during the project that could have an impact on the cost of engineering hours, as well, cost of materials.
- Guiding the tasks to scheduled dates as provided by planning sector. Be aware of predecessor's activities and signal to lead engineers when these activities are delaying;
- Support the lead engineers in monitoring project deliverables and actively engage where project teams would benefit from technical intervention.
- Support the lead engineers in resolving technical issues in support of current projects, equipment under test, or in-service platforms.
- Liaise with other GE businesses, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate in order to support the project and the business.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to the overall project team as appropriate including Commissioning and Service.
- Improve the efficiency of the engineering process, through development and use of standard engineering solutions for projects.
- Comply with all company and customer health and safety regulations.

- Share with engineering team the knowledge and the new successful experiences acquired in a certain project, in order to become good practice for the next projects;

- OTD - On Time Delivery.
- FTY - First Time Yeld.
- RNC's (∑ RNC's / ∑ tested cubicle).
- RNC time response.
- HH efficiency (spent hours/sold hours).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Electrical engineering or related subject.
- English proficiency to participate in an international project team.
- Fluency in Portuguese language.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience
- Electrical engineering in relevant industry (Marine, Mining, Energy, Renewables, Oil & Gas, etc.).
- Deep knowledge in ABNT and IEC standards for MV and LV switchboards.
- Experience in engineering design, application, testing or commissioning environment, with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- LV switchgear and controlgear specification and application.
- MV switchgear and controlgear specification and application.
- Supervision panels specification and application.
- MV and LV Inverter drives panels specification and application.
- PLC Panels specification and application.
- Personal Qualities
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive, accurate, and detail oriented.
- Good report writing skills.
- Good personal organisational skills.
- Circumstances
- Willing to travel within base country and overseas for short term working.
- Clean driving licence
