Job Description Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in DCS / SAS engineering, system integration, and project execution. The candidate will be responsible for studying customer requirements, preparing engineering deliverables, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, supporting FAT and commissioning activities, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions. Troubleshooting experience in SCADA and DSA is preferred.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Study technical specifications, contract requirements, customer inputs, and project documents.
  • Prepare DCS design concepts, design strategy, list of deliverables, and bill of quantity/budget man-hours.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans based on product scope and tender documents.
  • Troubleshooting experience in SCADA and DSA is preferred.
  • Finalize IEDs, bought-out materials, and raise purchase requisitions to meet delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and validate technical design documents, engineering drawings, and substation IO lists with cost-effective and quality-focused solutions.
  • Attend customer technical meetings to secure document approvals and respond to observations/comments.
  • Integrate IEDs with various communication protocols; configure, test, validate, and troubleshoot SAS databases.
  • Release technical designs, drawings, documents, and databases to the internal test team for inspection.
  • Coordinate with FAT teams for internal validation and participate in customer FAT as required.
  • Support the service team in resolving technical issues and snag lists.
  • Coordinate with product line teams for closure of technical issues during design, FAT, and commissioning phases.
  • Share return of experience (RoE) with the team and implement applicable lessons learned in the design phase.
  • Manage technical interfaces with subcontractors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Provide technical support during ITO / tendering stage.
  • Travel to customer sites or project locations as required.
  • Lead and guide team members when needed.
  • Adhere to all safe working procedures in line with EHS instructions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant field experience of 3 to 5 years in SAS Engineering/Commissioning.
  • Independent to handle the project Engineering, Customer discussion, Test, validate & troubleshoot the SAS products/system.
  • Broad knowledge on Substation Automation System Engineering, Communication architecture/protocols like IEC 61850, Modbus, IEC104, Network concepts & configuration, Database configuration, Multiple OEM IED integration, DCS/Network Troubleshoot tools.
  • Basic Knowledge on Engineering process, Protection, Commissioning of SAS systems, India region utility/industry practices and standards.
  • Process bus based Digital Substation, Implementation of OT Cyber Security will be an added advantage
