Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Energy Management System (EMS) Product Owner to join our Digital team. This role will be responsible for leading the design, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of our Energy Management Systems, enabling data-driven energy optimization across the organization. The EMS Product Owner will act as a bridge between digital technologies, operations, and sustainability goals, ensuring the effective use of advanced tools and analytics to reduce energy consumption, improve efficiency, and support carbon reduction targets.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership
    • Define and lead the roadmap for EMS development and integration across manufacturing sites.
    • Align EMS initiatives with corporate sustainability, operational efficiency, and digital transformation strategies.
    • Act as the subject matter expert and advisor on energy management technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • System Management
    • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and operation of the EMS platform.
    • Ensure seamless integration of EMS with IoT devices and enterprise data platforms.
    • Establish processes for system monitoring, data integrity, and performance reporting.

  • Drive advanced analytics, AI/ML to optimize energy consumption.
  • Define KPIs and dashboards to track energy performance, cost savings, and emissions reductions.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to ensure EMS data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work closely with operations, engineering, sustainability & DT teams to maximize EMS impact.
    • Engage external vendors, technology providers as needed.
    • Provide training and support to business units to drive adoption of EMS capabilities.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 8+ years of experience in energy management, industrial automation, or digital transformation roles.
    • Proven track record leading EMS or related digital energy platforms in large organizations.
    • Strong understanding of IoT, cloud platforms, and data analytics tools.
    • Experience with ISO 50001, energy audits, and sustainability frameworks.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
