Job Description
This role is intended for a recent university graduate joining a professional engineering function. The engineer will support the design, validation, and continuous improvement of electrical sub-system components, including cabinets, harnesses, motors, batteries, and related turbine integration.
This role will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in design engineering, learning how to translate customer and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
The individual will work within one of the sub-system groups, either pitch or power conversion, and will gain hands-on experience in design processes, specification development, DFMEA, risk assessment, requirements management, and validation activities.
The focus for an Electrical Engineer is to develop technical capability, learn by doing, and contribute to safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, validation, and release of electrical sub-system components.
- Learn and apply the design process from requirements definition through concept, design, release, and validation.
- Contribute to the development of specifications, drawings, schematics, bills of material, and design documentation.
- Support design reviews and engineering change activities, ensuring alignment with product requirements and quality expectations.
- Develop understanding of DFMEA, design risks, and mitigation actions in support of robust engineering decisions.
- Support testing and validation activities to confirm design intent, compliance, and performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support component development, product integration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and support quality and safety requirements in line with company procedures.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design improvement activities under supervision.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
- Entry-level or early-career experience.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Interest in developing a long-term career within the organization.
