Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Individuals with expertise in a specific area, such as industrial hygiene, injury & illness, ergonomics, electrical safety, process safety management, etc. and/or providing general health & safety advice and support. Provide support at "Operational, Fixed Facilities," . May include individuals supporting services, projects and construction.*

• Establish corporate safety systems with specific emphasis on process safety management, process hazard analysis, Industrial hygiene, risk assessment and injury reporting and change control.

• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations: SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, STPS & Proteccion Civil.

• Preparation of risk analysis and accident investigations.

• Oversees and coordinates all training required by local regulatory agencies and provides ongoing training for all administrative, production and contractor personnel

• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.

• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related field.
  • Leadership training or demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Practical experience with Gensuite or similar EHS management software.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
