East Med Senior Sales Manager
Job Description Summary
The East Med Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading customer relationships across the gas power services portfolio within Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Sudan - spanning both private and government entities. Responsible for orders, commitments, and convertible orders for the defined region, the role manages customer relationships and leads deal negotiations and closure, while partnering with commercial operations to develop winning strategies and achieve order closure. High levels of commercial judgment are required to achieve the required outcomes.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent understanding of the energy market for the covered territory (dynamics & trends), including the regulatory framework and the various players within the market
- Develop long-term strategic plans by market and customer to drive penetration and growth
- Build and maintain relationships with Government entities, system operators, and government agencies responsible for the power sector in each country
- Continuously monitor and drive opportunity development through early engagement of project developers
- Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies with respective internal teams
- Drive orders, sales, cash, and contribution margin growth
- Support positioning of Upgrade offerings and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs)
- Facilitate effective cross-functional working relationships with Gas Power Services Execution Teams, Engineering, Finance, Pricing, Product Management, etc.
- Provide support to the project implementation team
- Share knowledge internally and leverage market intelligence to drive sales opportunities
- Maintain ongoing customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide demand forecasting and pacing support to Sales Operations
- Keep NEX up to date with the region's opportunities (forecast and active)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 6 years experience in Sales, Project Management, Business/Commercial Operations, and/or Customer Service Leadership.
- Minimum 8 years experience in power generation, industrial sector or oil & gas industries.

- Strong account management skills, including developing relationships at the C-suite level
- Strong technical background and familiarity with Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine technology
- Strong oral and written communication skills at an executive level
- Ability to work across functions and matrix organizations
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Business acumen and analytical ability with a holistic "solution" mindset
- Knowledge of gas turbine auxiliary systems and potential upgrade offerings
- Broad and deep understanding of the commercial cycle (product line / marketing / sales / commercial operations / engineering)
- Financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities
- Long-term business mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to define and implement strategic plans, set a vision, and rally support around it
- Executive-level presentation skills with clear and concise messaging
- Clear thinker with ability to focus on the "critical few" priorities
- Ability to translate strategy into business objectives
- Capable of planning and executing major initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Strong knowledge of the Power Generation industry
