As the Director of BWRX-300 Technical Sales, you will be at the forefront of the global energy transition. The BWRX-300 is a cornerstone of GE Vernova's Small Modular Reactor (SMR) program, and this leadership role is vital to its commercial success. You will bridge the vital space between the 'customer's reality' - their site and requirements - and the 'BWRX-300's capability,' ensuring our technical sales strategy delivers a perfect alignment for global energy projects.

The Director will lead the Technical Sales team within the Sales & Commercial Operations organization. You will be responsible for the technical strategy underpinning global sales efforts, driving operational excellence through "standard work," and ensuring our technical value proposition is world-class. This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical depth, commercial acumen, and transformational leadership. #LI-ML2

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a global, cross-functional team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide technical backbone for prospective BWRX-300 customers.
  • Oversee the development and standardization of technical proposal content, ensuring every submission is high-quality, competitive, and technically sound.
  • Drive the creation of innovative, customer-facing materials-including General Descriptions and Plant Parameter Envelopes-utilizing cutting-edge tools like Virtual Reality (VR) to bring the BWRX-300 to life.
  • Establish and refine standard work processes. You will champion the use of AI and digital tools to enhance team efficiency and shorten the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) cycle.
  • Act as a senior technical liaison, responding to complex inquiries and presenting to C-suite executives and government regulators worldwide.
  • Manage the budget for ITO technical cost activities, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to win deals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Engineering or Technical discipline preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the nuclear industry, with a proven track record across disciplines such as sales, design, project management, or construction.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for executive audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Position is based full-time at our site in Wilmington, NC.
  • Export Control: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers are contingent upon the ability to obtain necessary U.S. Government authorizations.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $152 400,00 and $254 000,00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
