Job Description Summary
The DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management System) Solution Integrator is a specialized technical role bridging the gap between a utility's grid operations and thousands of decentralized energy assets (e.g., solar, batteries, EVs).
You are responsible for designing, building, and configuring the software architecture that connects the central DERMS platform with field devices, aggregation platforms, and enterprise systems.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of DERMS solutions utilizing the Software Suite.
- Own technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of the projects. Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, participating in decisions on architecture, design, and functionality to keep programs on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.
- Work closely with the client to understand their needs and develop strategies tailored to their organization through site assessments.
- Also make standard recommendations on workflow, application, interface, reports, testing and uploads to customers through the implementation process.
- Is responsible for go-live readiness and support as well as post-live checkups and will be required to work collaboratively with internal team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
- Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
- Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
- Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
- May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decision

- Provides informal guidance to new team members
Qualifications & Experience
- This role requires advanced experience in the Services & Digital Implementation Services.
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- System Interoperability: Design and develop custom adapters, APIs, and microservices to integrate DERMS software into existing middleware (like Enterprise Service Buses).
- Data Modeling: Translate and validate client distribution network models-such as converting network model files into common information models (CIM) and mapping them to power flow results.
- Grid Constraint Mapping: Configure solutions for grid operations (e.g., voltage management, local grid load management, and network congestion limits.
- Asset Aggregation & Translation: Ensure the DERMS platform can safely and effectively parse data from varied third-party aggregators and diverse edge-device languages into a standardized format.
- Scenario Simulation: Prepare, configure, and automate input data (load and generation forecasts) to simulate and test various DER planning scenarios
Desired Characteristics
- Technical Stack: Fluency in full-stack development, backend services, middleware integration (e.g., GE GridOS experience), Kubernetes, API development, and UI/UX.
- Domain Knowledge: A solid grasp of power flow analysis, distribution management systems (DMS), smart inverters, and wholesale market participation
- Communication: Ability to facilitate workshops, map client use cases to technical deliverables, and act as a translator between business stakeholders and software vendors
As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.
