Job Description Summary

As a Commercialization Director in our DAC business, you will play a crucial role in leading / supporting project development, building our project pipeline, leading marketing activities, engaging with government affairs, and optimizing our processes and systems to support scale-up. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new business in GE Vernova and make a significant impact in developing and deploying breakthrough technology.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Development Leadership:
    • Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential DAC project sites
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop project proposals or schedules
    • Help advance projects through the development phase along key internal and external stakeholders
    • Support the due diligence process for new projects, including feasibility studies and risk assessments.
    • Help coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Commercial Pipeline Building:
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners, investors, and stakeholders.
    • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the DAC industry.
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of DAC projects, tracking progress and milestones.
    • Support the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements.
    • Develop and deploy AI-first commercialization processes to support a range of applications in the commercial function
  • Marketing Activities:
    • Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote DAC projects and technologies.
    • Assist in the creation of compelling content for various channels, including website, social media, and press releases.
    • Participate in industry conferences, webinars, and events to gain market insights, raise awareness and generate interest.
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Government Affairs Engagement:
    • Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and incentives related to DAC and carbon removal.
    • Engage with government agencies, policymakers, and industry associations to advocate for supportive policies.
    • Represent the company in public forums, providing expert insights and thought leadership on DAC technologies.
    • Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in project development, business development, commercialization within the energy or carbon management sectors.
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, Direct Air Capture and carbon removal technologies, and project monetization schema (e.g., voluntary and carbon compliance markets)

Relocation Assistance Provided: No

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $153,800.00 and $256,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
