In support of the GE Vernova's mission, you will design and implement control solutions that have meaningful impact on people's lives and enable the transformation of the energy sector. You will have a complete life cycle experience from initial concept development through detail design, implementation, and upgrades, working with over 1000 global engineers with a single purpose: deliver the cleanest, most efficient power to our customers.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and systems.
- Execute Control System retrofits and migrations, following standard work.
- Apply control technologies to Aero Gas turbine, Steam Turbine, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Balance of Plant or Grid Response New Product Introduction or Development of World-Class Standards and Capabilities
- Test and develop requirements for Aero GT, ST, HRSG, BOP and Grid Response application code in MarkVIe Control system.
- Implement new control technologies into packaged product offerings.
- Participate in Customer Witnesses Tests / Kick-Off Meetings and other interaction with customers.
- Contribute to projects with responsibility for safety, quality and delivery metrics.
- Support Controls Software Engineering process, Production and Field Engineering
- Contribute to Software development for Changes, Modifications & Upgrades and perform validation test.
- Provide engineering technical support to cross functional teams to improve or resolve Controls design.
- Use and improve software automation tools.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Participate on the implementation of innovative analysis design, development concepts of processes and systems.
- Work in Agile environment, delivering in Sprints and participating in Daily Scrum Meetings.
- Travel to customer's Power Plants to Support site installations and gather data required to execute the Control System retrofit/migration
- Collaborate with others to solve issues. Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE Vernova. Exchange technical information, be boldly inquisitive and always yearning to grow.

What You'll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related technical field.
What Will Make You Stand Out:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven modelling, simulation, or algorithm development as part of studies or projects.

- Exposure to power plant control systems, grid modelling, and turbine control operational challenges.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $71,600.00 and $107,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
