Job Description Summary

Hot Gas Path Coated Buckets Cell Leader
The Hot Gas Path Coated Buckets Cell Leader is accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance of the coated buckets cell. This role will lead an organization of approximately 9 salaried employees, including supervisors, and 140 hourly employees.

This position is responsible for leading the manufacturing of coated buckets, including machining, coating, non-destructive testing (NDT), and braze operations. Demonstrated experience with these processes, as well as with gas turbine manufacturing, is strongly preferred.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive a strong safety culture with the goal of achieving zero recordable injuries.
  • Provide leadership and direction within the COE to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost improvement KPIs.
  • Lead the COE's Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) strategy through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion the Lean vision as a change agent, implementing strategies to reduce inventory, lead time, and waste.
  • Support the early integration of Lean principles into product design and process development for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication of key business and customer issues to employees.
  • Foster collaborative, cross-functional partnerships with internal customer cells and support organizations, including Materials, Quality, Industrialization, and Engineering.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing Services to understand the primary drivers of consumable cost and develop strategies to improve product cost.
  • Work with supporting organizations to drive product cost competitiveness in the market.
  • Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership for assigned personnel.
  • Support the COE in strategic planning for manpower, equipment, and resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
    OR
  • High school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 additional years of experience in operations leadership

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
