Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a manufacturing cell strategy that cost effectively meets or exceeds business commitments
  • Support the development of the master production schedule through facility systems and execute customer commitments on time while ensuring that safety, quality and cost targets are met
  • Create an environment of respect and trust among the cell and ensure open lines of communication for the identification and resolution of both technical and personnel issues
  • Lead a direct report salaried team consisting of Quality Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Operations Leaders
  • Interface with engineering, sourcing, materials, quality, logistics and projects teams to ensure the efficient delivery of product to project site
  • Lead a team of technicians and contractors to assemble, test, and deliver product across a multiple shift operation
  • Work with contract labor supplier to ensure appropriate staffing levels while meeting cost and efficiency targets
  • Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to continue the optimization of the production lines, addressing modifications and updates where needed
  • Lead the improvement of the production lines; including strategically developing communication rhythms, setting proper staffing levels, appropriately developing assembly processes, determining standard work, and synchronizing efforts between company and suppliers to ensure a flawless ramp
  • Ensure that the team is focused on continuous improvement projects that address safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
  • Identify, hire, and develop talent for roles within the cell and broader manufacturing teams
  • Lead new production introduction activities including safely shipping no escaping defect units on time at should cost

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing operations management and/or engineering role
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a people leader role in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience as an Ops Leader / supervisor and either quality process engineer or manufacturing engineer

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
