Business Development Manager - Generator Products, Steam Power Nuclear Services
Job Description Summary
The Business Development Manager for Generator Products is responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships, market analysis, and customer engagement for Americas Nuclear installed base. The ideal candidate brings deep product and industry knowledge, proven selling experience in the energy sector, and the ability to lead complex deal cycles involving technical and commercial stakeholders. In this role, you will develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Generator Products for Upgrades, Replacements and Services. You will be responsible for sales efforts from prospects through proposals, contract negotiation and deal closure. You will have a strong knowledge of market economics, competitive dynamics, as well as energy technology. You will bring together key stakeholders in other parts of the GE Vernova enterprise, including product management, manufacturing facilities, engineering, finance, and execution teams to assure technical and business alignment.
As a member of the segment team, you will contribute to $1B+ operating plans as well as foster in significant opportunity pipeline generation. You will be an active contributor to delivering best-in-class processes for the Nuclear Segment. This role is instrumental to enabling the business to achieve targeted Sales outcomes.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Generator Products, Upgrade and Services SME -supporting commercial operations with bid development and customer conversations on scope / technology solutions
- Deep domain knowledge on Generator Manufacturing, Upgrading, Replacing and Servicing of Generator Products
- Lead Generator Demand creation - analyze market strategies and business requirements / process and recommending actions for implementation
- Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) demand management planning - delivering scenario planning requirements for supply (Risk and Opportunities) aligned to segment financials
- Participate and lead key industry Technical Events - work across broad organization to assess participation, content, deliverables and desired outcomes from participation
- Direct interfacing with customers on products and solutions in support of pipeline demand creations
- Support the Account Management and Parts and Repairs Teams with Generator Product trainings, customer engagements, and business development efforts
- Stay current with Market and Competitive landscape - supporting forecasting process
- Support demand creation activities, including the economic modeling process (Customer Value Modeling) for large complex projects. Organizing data inputs into an existing modeling tool - modeling outcomes that are used internally and externally to evaluate investment needs and solutions
- Analyze market strategies and business requirements / process and recommending actions for implementation
- Lead and/or participate in LEAN initiatives and principles in support of the Sales and Commercial teams.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10+ years experience in the Power Generation Industry
- Minimum of 10+ years experience working with and knowledge of Generator Products
Desired Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree(s) in business, and/or engineering
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities effectively
- Demonstrated inclusive behavior with success in leading in a matrix organization
- Demonstrated clear thinking with effective communication at all levels
- Working knowledge of Power Services product portfolio and business segments
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $128,400.00 and $213,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
