Blade Operations EHS Lead
Job Description Summary
The Blade Operations EHS Lead is the primary EHS interface for GE Vernova's wind blade manufacturing sites, ensuring effective implementation of EHS programs and regulatory compliance in daily operations. This role is based in one of the blade operations manufacturing facilities to provide timely, hands on support to plant teams.
The position partners with Wind Blades Operations leadership and the Business EHS management team, reporting to the Wind Fixed Facilities EHS Leader, to align plant level execution with global manufacturing EHS strategies and standards.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main EHS point of contact for blade manufacturing sites, providing day-to-day support to plant leadership and local EHS teams.
- Implement GE Vernova EHS programs (including Framework 3.0 and Life Saving Rules) within blade operations and ensure integration into daily work practices.
- Monitor EHS performance (incident rates, PSEs, audit findings, action closure) and drive corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with site teams.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to GE Vernova EHS standards across blade plants; support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal assessments.
- Provide on-site support for incident response and investigations; coordinate lessons learned and risk-reduction actions across blade operations.
- Engage in shop-floor activities and apply Lean problem-solving and digital tools to eliminate or reduce risks and improve EHS processes.
- Support new projects, product introductions, and facility changes within blade operations, ensuring EHS requirements are addressed early and aligned with global manufacturing EHS standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Wind Fixed Facilities EHS Leader and other Wind EHS leaders to ensure consistent execution of global initiatives and effective best-practice sharing.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related EHS field.
- 10+ years of experience executing EHS programs in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading EHS implementation at plant or operations level, including incident investigation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of applicable EHS regulations and ability to translate them into practical plant-level actions.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions and locations.
- Fluency in English, with strong communication and influencing skills.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience within GE Vernova or similar large industrial/energy business.
- Familiarity with GE Vernova EHS systems and tools (e.g., Gensuite, ComplyWorks, SCX).
- Strong presence on the shop floor; able to coach and influence leaders and operators.
- Demonstrated ability to drive EHS culture and continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, multi-site environment with competing priorities.
- Able and willing to travel 30%+ and comply with GE Vernova (GEV) travel and tax guidelines.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $129,000.00 and $214,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
