Role Description:

Aero Service Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Shop Operations Supervisor to lead a shift of shop technicians at the Port Klang facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily production shift activities and ensuring they align with our Safety, Quality, Delivery and People (SQDP) standards. The Shop Operation Supervisor will report to the Shop Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: manage and oversee shift operations to ensure adherence to SQDP standards.
  • Lead by example in promoting a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory, company and operational requirements.
  • Team Leadership: directly supervise and support the assigned shift technicians by fostering a collaborative, open and efficient work environment. Be the first point escalation point for shop technicians solving or flagging roadblocks.
  • Safety Management: ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed, maintaining a safe workplace for the shift
  • Assume the role of Supervisor under the Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994), with responsibility for supervising work activities and ensuring compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety requirements
  • Quality Assurance: ensure production output meets the highest quality standards and ensure work instructions are followed.
  • Identify, propose, and implement improvements in production efficiency, safety, quality, and workplace organization through strong 5S and housekeeping practices
  • Delivery Coordination: execute shift production priorities as set by planning meeting deadlines while embracing safety and quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least three years of work experience in manufacturing or service shop environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of production management and lean principles and practices.
  • Strong EHS and Quality mindset.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in component repair/aero engines/aeroderivative turbine operations is considered a plus.
  • Diploma in (Mechanical, Aerospace and similar) or equivalent experience
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
