Job Description Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing inbound and outbound material processes, customs, inventory control, and material traceability across the shop and warehouse. This role supports the setup and improvement of logistics processes, warehousing practices, ERP transactions, inventory management, and indirect materials control to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient material flow.
This position reports to the Site Logistics and Materials Manager.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound material processes for shop and warehouse operations.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, packing, and internal material movements.
• Support customs processes and import/export documentation in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Ensure material traceability and accurate ERP transactions across warehouse and shop operations.
• Support the setup, implementation, and standardization of logistics and warehousing processes.
• Perform and support inventory control activities, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and stock accuracy.
• Manage indirect materials flow, storage, and transaction accuracy.
• Partner with Operations, Sourcing, Quality, and Finance to support material availability and flow.
• Monitor logistics and inventory performance and support continuous improvement actions.
• Maintain safe, organized, and efficient warehouse storage and material handling practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience in logistics or materials operations.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory, or materials management in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, and ERP transactions.
• Familiarity with customs processes, import/export documentation, and material traceability.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work effectively across functions.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

• Experience in aerospace, aviation, gas turbine, repair shop, or other regulated industrial environments.
• Familiarity with indirect materials management and inventory accuracy processes.
• Strong attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Practical, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Lean or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
