Job Description Summary

In this role you will guide the quality continuous improvement and defects remediation efforts across the organization, collaborating with local, global functions and customers.

This role reports to the Europe Quality Leader of the Aero Alliance JV Organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading internal root cause analysis and for the identification and implementation of corrective / preventive actions
  • Constantly monitor/analyze quality KPI and identify, based on data and trend, continuous improvement opportunities and critical-to-quality (CTQs) processes/tasks
  • Lead and perform internal process and workstation audits engaging with operations, safety and lean teams.
  • Collaborate with and support the supplier quality organization in defining supplier continuous improvement and remediation plans after product non-conformances.
  • Develop quality control plans and risk mitigation strategies for critical processes and recurrent non-conformances
  • Drive and influence the organization at all levels towards a "zero defect" culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (in writing and speaking) in English and Italian.
  • Demonstrated collaboration & conflict resolution skills
  • Self-Starter and able to collaborate cross functionally
  • Experience leading and implementing change.
  • Analytical, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications.

Desired Characteristics

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering experience in the Aerospace or Aviation industry or experience in design engineering or manufacturing engineering in Aerospace, Aviation or Oil and Gas field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies & in-depth understanding of site level products & related processes
  • Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement a strategy under crisis situations to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality / process improvement tools: (5S, PFMEA, 8D)
  • Experience performing internal and external audits.
  • Ability to multi-task & handle tasks with competing priorities effectively
  • Strong technical aptitude (i.e. able to read & comprehend technical documentation & execute procedures), global regulatory experience & demonstrated experience interfacing with regulators
