Job Description Summary

In this role the candidate will develop and implement lean improvement projects in line with business strategic expectations.
Drive the Aero Alliance cultural brand across the business to achieve EHS, Quality & business objectives.
Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities, perform time&method evaluations achieving cycles standardization, lean auditing.
Use best practice lean tools such as, but not limited to, 5S, problem solving, kaizen to help drive improvements in flow, throughput and bottleneck efficiency.
The role is intended to be performed on-site. Candidates without University Degrees will not be evaluated.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Follow Lean roadmap established and significantly contribute to its enhancement and completion.
  • Act as an ambassador and sponsorship of lean methodology.
  • Ability to identify, implement & drive TAT reduction strategic initiatives.
  • Have very good communication skills at all levels.
  • Identify & implement KPI's to track project progress.
  • Occasionally Leads Lean activities and workshops including, Kaizen events, 5S.
  • Lead Problem solving at the workshop level
  • Facilitate 5S system and drive for excellent result.
  • Drive simplification and standardization efforts for all project initiatives.
  • Facilitate or support continuous improvement activities in factory
  • Create as-is map of processes and create to-be status, focusing solutions.
  • Minimize customizations and offline processes and maximize use of industry standard processes and standard functionalities when designing and digitizing the next generation.
  • Be aware of EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules, when driving any physical changes to operations
  • As a reference in the use of the Lean tools / methods, lead and manage the completion of continuous improvement projects within a given timeframe

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, industrial or related technical discipline from an accredited college or University; or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of Lean tools (5S, problem solving, kaizen).
  • Experience in Operations
  • Fluent knowledge of English language and Italian.

Desired Characteristics

  • Relevant experience in the services/repair Industry.
  • Proven experience in a Lean Role in Operations or in Manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different technologies at a time.
  • Strong organization, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, vendors, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to set own action plans and be proactive.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or other ERP applications with additional hands-on experience.
  • Quality and cost driven.
  • Open mind to cultural change, high energy & drive, self-starter and motivator.
  • Strong team player who works to make the entire team successful, not bound by strict role description.
