Job Description Summary

The Advanced Nuclear, Senior Project Manager, has the responsibility to provide project management support of the GVH Site Engineering Office (SEO) located at DNNP in support of BWRX-300 construction. In this role the PM will support site interface for readiness, construction, major equipment component support, pre-operational testing and startup activities. This role will report functionally to the Project Management Project Portfolio leader, while supporting the respective Project Director for the SEO in planning and execution of site activities for the design and construction of the Small Modular Reactor; including managing the quality, emergent issue management, cost and schedule of the execution process. Additional focus includes project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the responsible ON-SITE in Darlington, Ontario, Project Manager for on-time project delivery, profit and loss accountability, and customer satisfaction by managing project-related activities and resources for the Site Engineering Office team at Darlington DNNP
  • Be present at DNNP site with the SEO team 5 days per week.
  • Lead cross-functional and global teams by driving milestone completion, removing roadblocks, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Site Execution team to establish operational readiness and ensure sustained on-site support of construction and procurement.
  • Manage day-to-day site project execution, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction through KPI tracking, schedule oversight, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee supplier deliverables, change orders, nonconformance management, and invoice accuracy; expedite critical items to maintain project timelines.
  • Collaborate with procurement and subcontract management to define scope, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.
  • Support project financial performance in Oracle ERP, including cost forecasting, structure setup, and budget/hour control.
  • Coordinate and lead kickoff meetings and bi-weekly stakeholder reviews; interface with senior supplier and customer leadership to align on objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Demonstrate the familiarity with nuclear construction practices
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Management or Site Rolls.
  • Minimum 2 years managing medium- to large-scale projects (with multi-disciplinary team and project).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Nuclear Industry work experience.
  • Strong grasp of reactor vessel internal hardware design issues, balanced with understanding of complexities of field delivery.
  • Familiarity with SMR design
  • Use of GEH support systems (i.e., PLM, Box, Oracle, Primavera P6, Tableau)
  • PMP Certification or Past supervisory experience.
