The Role & Department

• As MAH QA, implement and promote GQP operations (release control, manufacturing site control, quality information control, change control, quality agreement, training, self-inspection, recall, management of documents and records, etc.), continuous improvement of quality management system and product quality.
• Collaboration, instruction, and guidance on quality with subcontractors (Explanation of Japanese requirements, audit, change control, deviation control, etc.)
• Collaboration with Global QA and Supply Chain (Deployment of Genmab Global policy to Japan, communication of necessary matters in Japan to Global, establishment of better SOPs in collaboration with Global)
• Establishment of Marketing QA Department that handles antibody drugs, and practical lead.
• Actions for new product introduction (cooperation with new CMOs, GMP compliance inspections, responding to PMDA inquiries when applicable, preparing product quality
• standard document, etc.) and renewal of MAH business license and management of other Genmab licenses.

Responsibilities

1. Development and Execution of Quality Assurance Strategy

• Formulate and implement quality assurance strategies based on Japanese regulatory requirements and global policies
• Optimize and continuously improve GQP operations (release decision, manufacturing site control, quality information management, change control, quality agreements, training, self-inspection, recall handling, document and record management)

2. Organizational Management and Leadership

• Improve QA organization structure, develop talent, and manage performance
• Foster a strong quality culture

3. Global Collaboration

• Work closely with Global QA and Supply Chain team (policy deployment, SOP improvement, information sharing)
• Report quality issues in the Japanese market to global teams and propose improvement measures

4. Quality Collaboration with External Partners

• Communicate Japanese GQP-related regulations clearly to the global team and build a shared understanding.
• Conduct audits for contract manufacturers and suppliers
• Collaborate with new CMOs, conduct GMP compliance inspections, management of foreign manufacturing sites (including maintenance of foreign manufacturer accreditation) and prepare product quality standard documents.

5. New Product Introduction and License Management

• Lead QA activities for new product launches (PMDA interactions, preparation of product quality standard documents)
• Manage renewal of MAH business licenses and other related licenses

6. Risk Management and Compliance

• Handle regulatory authority interactions, audit preparation, risk assessment, and corrective actions
• Establish and monitor quality-related KPIs
• Internal audit management
