The Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Research Associate Upstream Processing within our Cell Engineering & Sciences team! In this role you will support the Upstream Process team from early stage to late stage development. Within the role you will use different production platforms whilst producing a wide variety of different antibodies and antibody formats. This role will primarily focus on Pilot production and late stage development.

In this role it is required to work in the weekends. For this an extra reimbursement is in place.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct activities related to assigned research study (e.g. conducting experiments, report processing, interpretation, and documentation)
  • Perform and optimize standardized/pre-described lab processes
  • Perform USP processes using Ambr15/ Ambr250 and 3L up to 50L Bioreactor systems
  • Perform clarifications using different platforms
  • Support internal Cell line development projects
  • Support Process development
  • Translate your findings into insights that can significantly improve the process of antibody production
  • Communicate your results to others effectively through reporting and presenting your work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in relevant technical area (e.g. biology, immunology, cell biology)
  • 1 year experience in relevant technical area is seen as beneficial
  • You have a proactive and enthusiastic mindset
  • You are a team player
  • You have a passion for animal cell technology and are eager to learn more about the subject
  • Experience with animal cell culturing is a significant advantage
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, in English
  • Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team with diverse researchers and stakeholders
  • You are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with diverse backgrounds
  • You have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic company (or a strong desire to)
  • You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so

The proposed gross annual base salary range for this position, in the primary location, based on a full time schedule is:
EUR38.760,00---58.140,00

The final salary offer will depend on several factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
