Principal IT Engineer, Head of Power Platform CoE

Yesterday Copenhagen, Denmark

At Genmab, we are dedicated to building extra[not]ordinary® futures, together, by developing antibody products and groundbreaking, knock-your-socks-off KYSO antibody medicines® that change lives and the future of cancer treatment and serious diseases. We strive to create, champion and maintain a global workplace where individuals' unique contributions are valued and drive innovative solutions to meet the needs of our patients, care partners, families and employees.

Our people are compassionate, candid, and purposeful, and our business is innovative and rooted in science. We believe that being proudly authentic and determined to be our best is essential to fulfilling our purpose. Yes, our work is incredibly serious and impactful, but we have big ambitions, bring a ton of care to pursuing them, and have a lot of fun while doing so.

Does this inspire you and feel like a fit? Then we would love to have you join us!

The Role

Genmab is building an enterprise-grade foundation for AI-enabled productivity and secure, scalable automation. As Senior Manager, AI & Automation Platforms, you'll own the strategy, governance, and enablement of Genmab's automation and AI platforms-with Microsoft Power Platform (especially Power Automate) as a required core capability.

This is an ideal role for a former engineer / builder who still loves getting technical, but now wants to drive enterprise outcomes by shaping platforms, guardrails, reusable patterns, and a thriving maker/developer community.

You will balance two forces every successful platform leader has to master:

  • Move fast (enable teams to automate and innovate)
  • Stay safe (compliance, security, auditability, and reliability at scale)

What You'll Own and Deliver

1) Platform ownership: Power Platform + CoPilot automation stack

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and operating model for Genmab's AI and automation platforms.
  • Lead Power Platform adoption and maturity (with Power Automate as the anchor), including environment strategy, lifecycle management, and platform reliability.
  • Establish a "platform as a product" approach: clear service catalog, onboarding paths, and support tiers.

2) Governance, compliance, and "safe scaling" guardrails

  • Partner with InfoSec, Privacy, Compliance, Legal, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure:

data protection, access controls, audit trails, and operational resilience

appropriate controls for regulated/validated work where applicable
  • Implement and continuously improve monitoring and compliance processes, including gxp qualification and gdpr compliance.

3) Reusable patterns, templates, and "golden paths"

  • Create a library of reusable components so teams don't reinvent the wheel:

    approved connectors/integration patterns

solution templates, reference architectures, review checklists

automation patterns (intake → design → build → test → release → monitor)
  • Define and promote enterprise-ready standards for:

solution packaging, ALM, source control, release pipelines

    logging/telemetry and operational support handoffs
  • Build "golden path" examples for combining automation with AI safely (e.g., human-in-the-loop approvals, traceability, content controls).

4) Build a maker/developer community that's actually inspiring

You'll create a citizen + pro-developer community that makes building feel possible and fun-without compromising safety.

  • Launch and run an enablement program:

    onboarding, learning paths, internal playbooks

office hours, hackathons, community demos, success-story spotlights

maker tiers (beginner → intermediate → advanced), badges/certification, champion network
  • Develop clear guidance: when to use Power Automate vs. other enterprise tools, and when to escalate to engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or similar.
  • 5+ years experience in data science or technology functions.
  • Background in healthcare and life sciences is helpful but not required.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate in an enterprise context (cloud flows; and ideally desktop/RPA exposure).
  • Demonstrated ownership of a platform program: governance + enablement + adoption at scale (not just building workflows).
  • Experience creating standards, reusable patterns, and scalable operating models across teams.
  • Proven ability to influence in a matrix (Security, Compliance, Legal, Data, Architecture, business functions).
  • Comfort translating between executive outcomes (risk, ROI, scale) and builder realities (connectors, environments, ALM, reliability).
  • Background as a builder (software engineering, automation engineering, platform engineering, or similar) with a desire to lead at enterprise level.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with GenAI platforms: ChatGPT/OpenAI, Claude, Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio, Gemini, or similar.
  • Experience with agent frameworks / orchestration (e.g., LangChain/LangGraph, crewai, etc.) and applying them responsibly in enterprise workflows.
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with ALM/DevOps automation, source control patterns, pipeline governance, platform telemetry.

5) AI platforms (nice-to-have)

  • Contribute to the enterprise approach for GenAI tooling (selection, patterns, governance, enablement), including any of:

ChatGPT / OpenAI enterprise tooling, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio, Google Gemini, or similar
  • Help define the safe enterprise "how" of AI usage:

approved use cases, prompt/pattern libraries, data boundaries, logging, evaluation, and escalation paths

About You

  • You are genuinely passionate about our purpose
  • You bring precision and excellence to all that you do
  • You believe in our rooted-in-science approach to problem-solving
  • You are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with a broad spectrum of backgrounds
  • You take pride in enabling the best work of others on the team
  • You can grapple with the unknown and be innovative
