The Role
The Director, Global Commercialization Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic, hands-on individual contributor responsible for advancing the human capital strategy for key areas within global Commercialization, including international market expansion and business effectiveness.
This role plays a key role in enabling Genmab's next phase of growth-supporting the build-out and scaling of commercialization capabilities and teams across new and emerging markets globally. You will partner closely with senior leaders to shape and execute talent strategies that enable successful market entry, organizational scale, and sustained performance.
Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, you will translate evolving priorities into impactful people strategies, while also driving execution in close partnership with HR Centers of Excellence and cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires the ability to operate seamlessly between strategy and execution, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership & Organizational Build
- Partner with leaders to develop and execute a forward-looking human capital strategy aligned to business priorities, acting as a trusted advisor on organizational, talent, and culture decisions.
- Lead HR support for international market expansion and organizational build, including standing up new teams, defining operating models and capabilities, and navigating global market complexities.
Talent & Organizational Effectiveness
- Drive end-to-end talent strategy, including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and organizational design to enable high-performing, scalable teams.
- Champion a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance, leading change initiatives tied to growth, market expansion, and evolving commercial models.
Culture & Change Leadership
- Champion a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance aligned with Genmab values.
- Lead and support change management initiatives, particularly those tied to growth, new market entry, and evolving commercialization models.
- Embed principles of belonging and inclusion across global and newly established teams.
Execution & Operational Excellence
- Ensure effective execution of core HR processes (e.g., talent reviews, compensation, onboarding) in partnership with HR COEs, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on delivery.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver globally aligned, locally relevant people solutions.
Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage data and insights to anticipate trends, inform decision-making, and measure organizational effectiveness.
- Continuously evolve HR practices to support a scaling, global organization, bringing external perspective and innovation.
About You
Expertise & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 10-12+ years of progressive HR experience, including support of global and/or commercialization organizations, ideally within life sciences.
- Demonstrated success building or scaling organizations, particularly in new markets or regions.
- Proven ability to operate effectively as an individual contributor in a complex, matrixed, global environment.
Leadership & Impact
- Trusted partner to senior leaders, with a demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and guide decision-making across geographies.
- Operates seamlessly between strategy and execution, bringing a hands-on, pragmatic approach and comfort navigating ambiguity and growth.

- Leverages data and insights to inform decisions and drive measurable business impact.

Where you will work: The role is hybrid - 60% in our Princeton, NJ office.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$188,880.00 - $283,320.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
