The Role

You will support the head of Development Sourcing and Vendor Management. This leadership role will drive, collaborate, and advise on the end-to-end contracting & outsourcing process for development services with external service providers/vendors e.g.,

Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and ancillary service providers to support the development pipeline. The role will build contracting & outsourcing strategies and create leading practices which improve values, minimize risk & cost, ensure quality, and create

scalability in a dynamic and growing business demand setting.

The key accountability of this role is to lead the end-to-end contracting & outsourcing process, in close collaboration with departments in Development to facilitate timely, fit for purpose contracts, by:

  • Building and managing global team of outsourcing professionals and support their career development and objective performance management.
  • Providing leadership and oversight for the Development Sourcing and Vendor Management team, accountable for outsourcing and contracting processes with external service providers.
  • Being responsible for the alignment of category strategies within the Development Sourcing and Vendor Management team.
  • Advising line of business on future best practices by leveraging on risk, performance and relationship lessons learned.
  • Support the team in defining, implementing, and maintaining the outsourcing strategies within the assigned clinical development services for their categories.
  • Taking the lead in and actively influence continuous improvement initiatives that will generate comprehensive processes; delineate roles/responsibilities; and promote quality. support the team in managing vendor governance including performance management i.e., chair the provider-Genmab Governance Meetings, drive contract issue escalation and resolution as well as risk mitigation and process optimization, identify improvement and trending activities for better collaboration with the external service provider. driving the request for outsourcing process. Driving the vendor evaluation. Enabling the vendor selection. Driving the contract process (initiation, negotiation, execution, and scope changes) for master service agreements as well as monetary agreements i.e., task orders/statement of works and change orders.

Furthermore, this role will play an important part in the further development of the global outsourcing, contract management and vendor governance processes together with the entire Development Sourcing and Vendor Management team and stakeholders in R&D, Legal, IT&D, Finance, Compliance & Risk, QA, and Global Procurement.

Key Account Manager:

  • Coordinate Sourcing for New Trials: Responsible for coordinating sourcing for new trials to ensure efficient and effective trial operations.
  • Point of Contact for Global Clinical Trial Managers: Acts as the primary point of contact, facilitate communication and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years of industry related experience.
  • Proven experience in clinical vendor management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Previous experience in leading a team

Skills

  • Ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast-paced environment and with tight timelines.
  • Ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and goal orientated.
  • Excellent coordination and project management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • A team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Scientists, Trial Managers, Data Managers, Clinicians, vendors) to support the overall development strategy.
