Job Overview

The Development Operations Intern (Strategy & Operations) will support the Development Operations Strategy and Execution and Business Effectiveness teams within the Strategy, Operations, Analysis, and Reporting (SOAR) function. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to contribute to strategic and operational initiatives that drive productivity, alignment, and innovation across Development Operations. Working under the guidance of leaders in the Strategy and Operations teams, the intern will participate in project-based work that enhances Genmab's ability to execute on its Development Operations 2030 vision - including initiatives in strategic planning, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The role offers a unique view of how clinical development strategy translates into operational impact in a leading oncology biotechnology company.

Strategy and Execution Support

  • Participate in project acceleration and process optimization initiatives, helping to map current processes, identify bottlenecks, and support the design of scalable solutions.
  • Support preparation of leadership presentations and strategic reports (e.g., Executive Committee or Board of Directors updates) by synthesizing key findings, data visualizations, and recommendations.
  • Assist in developing metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to assess operational success and inform decision-making.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and benchmarking analyses to identify opportunities for differentiation and performance improvement across Development Operations.

Operations and Business Effectiveness Support

  • Support ongoing value creation and productivity initiatives, helping identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to Development Operations' workflows, resource utilization, and structure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Human Resources, and Development Business Operations to support operational planning, headcount/resource analyses, and performance tracking.
  • Contribute to updates and enhancements of Development Operations communications platforms (e.g., EverYDay pages, newsletters), ensuring clarity and alignment of key messages.
  • Help document and visualize organizational processes, roles, and interactions across functions to support transparency and onboarding materials.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Open to undergraduate students in their junior or senior year, as well as master's degree candidates.
  • All majors are encouraged to apply.
  • Can commit to full duration of internship program.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Strong technical skills (e.g., software proficiency, data analysis, knowledge in generative AI, excellent communication and interpersonal skills)
  • Knowledge of clinical trials as well as technology; should have an interest in automation and using generative AI in the business setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
  • Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly.

General Intern Information - Date/Location/Schedule

Internships will take place June - August 2026. This role will be based in Princeton, NJ and operate on a required hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
