Overview
The Genmab Patient Support Services Program (PSS) is a cornerstone of our unwavering commitment to patients. Genmab Patient Support Services (PSS) offers a comprehensive suite of resources designed to support patients, care partners, and healthcare providers. These resources address critical needs such as treatment education, access to medicines, and affordability barriers associated with prescribed treatments.
Our PSS supports both our current and pipeline products, delivering omni-channel customer support and facilitating patient access. The team is dedicated to improving patient experiences by ensuring timely and effective medication delivery.
The Associate Director, Patient Support and Reimbursement Strategy (for
Head & Neck and Colorectal Cancer) will play a key role in the strategic development and supporting tactical execution for both patient support programs and reimbursement initiatives for Genmab's portfolio. This role will support all Genmab products, with primary focus on Oncology. This role will also collaborate on additional PSS initiatives, particularly those related to training, and will identify opportunities to innovate and enhance patient support throughout the treatment journey. The position involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including the PSS Internal Call Center and Field Teams, Brand Marketing, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Compliance, Corporate Communications, and Vendor Partners.
The ideal candidate must be highly organized, flexible, and capable of managing multiple complex projects while working with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with Brand teams to support and align on patient support design, and operational execution
- Serve as the primary PSS and reimbursement strategy lead for the franchise, while providing scalable strategic support across the broader Genmab portfolio.
- Provide expertise for both medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement
- Provide strategic direction on patient access needs, affordability solutions, and payer-driven value-based programs to optimize support for patients to access their therapy.
- Drive the development and support the execution of omni-channel PSS strategies to support access, affordability, and engagement goals.
Agency & Budget Management
- Manage relationships with agencies of record (AOR) and media partners, ensuring efficient business planning and budget oversight.
Program Design & Implementation
- Be the PSS liaison to the brand, identifying patient and caregiver needs to appropriately access the brand
- Develop the PSS program design and inventory of services for product launch, working with PSS ops team and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with Genmab's strategic objectives, addressing key patient journey barriers related to access, affordability, and support, in collaboration with PSS Operations Team.
Digital Strategy & Enablement
- Work with internal stakeholders and set the strategic vision and roadmap for digital enablement across Patient Support Services and reimbursement programs, supporting all Genmab products with primary focus on Oncology.
- Provide strategic oversight for the design and evolution of digital ecosystems that support patients, care partners, HCPs, and field teams, including websites, portals, and omnichannel communications.
- Partner with IT, digital, brand, market access, field, and compliance stakeholders to align digital strategy with business priorities, access objectives, and payer requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams (Field Teams, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Medical, Market Access, etc.) to develop and coordinate communication efforts and streamline the execution of PSS program launches and enhancements.
- Ensure alignment between PSS and Reimbursement teams for both patient and HCP communication strategies.
- Be the primary contact point between the commercial team and PSS organization for patient services related issues, with a primary focus on the Oncology franchise.
Resource / Strategic Oversight
- Manage the internal promotional review process for all PSS marketing materials and communications, ensuring adherence to Genmab's compliance guidelines.
- Oversee inventory management for all PSS and reimbursement marketing materials, including the use of CRM tools such as Veeva PromoMats.
Launch Management & Communication
- Support the execution of cross-functional launch plans and provide progress updates to PSS Leadership on all launch-related activities.
- Ensure lessons learned from launch activities are shared across PSS therapeutic areas to inform future best practices, leveraging Oncology learnings as a model for portfolio optimization.
Competitive Intelligence & Market Research Patient Journey Optimization
- Collaborate with brand teams to map the patient/stakeholder journey, identify pain points, and develop strategies that help patients access prescribed treatments when appropriate.
- Incorporate payer requirements, outcomes measures, and access criteria associated with value-based programs into patient support strategy, where appropriate.
- Continuously analyze insights and data to inform how programs are performing successfully and share actionable insights with internal teams.
- Collaborate with the broader Market Research organization to coordinate PSS Competitive Intelligence activities and market research, ensuring a continuous feedback loop for program improvement, including insights on payer adoption of value-based models (i.e., EOM).
PSS Training & Reimbursement Optimization
- Work closely with call center leadership and field team to ensure continuous enhancements within PSS program and reimbursement strategy.
- Lead the development of reimbursement content for all Genmab products. Inclusive of leading the reimbursement strategy, and HCPCS applications.
- Support PSS training partner in training execution & material roll-out, to encompass roll out of materials and training potentially on reimbursement and value-based program requirements.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry, with significant exposure to patient services, reimbursement or market access marketing roles, preferably within oncology or rare disease areas.
- Proven experience in supporting product launches, particularly in Oncology with a focus in Patient Support Services and/or Market Access Marketing.
- Demonstrated experience working with payer-driven initiatives, value-based programs, and/or value-based agreements.
- Expertise in working with promotional materials, agencies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Skills
- Strong project management experience, with a proven ability to handle large, complex projects involving cross-functional teams. Experience working on "co-promoted" products.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the agility to manage diverse strategic and operational challenges, including translating payer requirements into operational PSS solutions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of distilling complex information for presentation to senior leadership.

- A collaborative team player with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong networks across multiple functions.
- Ability to drive innovation, encourage creative problem-solving, and ensure seamless execution across all levels of the organization.
Where you will work: The role is hybrid and reporting to our Princeton, NJ office 2-3 days per week.
Other: Travel up to 25%, as required.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$178,160.00 - $267,240.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
