Position Summary

The Associate Director, Europe Performance & Reporting will play a critical role in strengthening the financial reporting, planning governance, and data infrastructure supporting Genmab's European commercial operations.

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance Europe Commercialization, this role will serve as the regional lead for financial data integrity, reporting excellence, and planning calendar execution. The Associate Director will ensure that financial reporting processes, performance dashboards, and planning cycles (Budget, Forecast, LRP) are robust, timely, and decision-oriented.

This role is ideal for a strong finance professional with deep FP&A experience who thrives at the intersection of data, systems, and business partnering, translating complex financial data into clear insights that drive performance across a growing commercial organization.

Depending on your experience, the role may be appointed at the Senior Manager or Associate Director level.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Data & Reporting

  • Own and continuously enhance the European financial reporting framework, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
  • Lead the monthly consolidation of European financial results, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency across all markets and legal entities.
  • Ensure alignment between regional reporting and corporate consolidation requirements.
  • Drive automation and simplification of reporting processes leveraging SAP S4/Hana, Adaptive Planning, and BI tools.

Monthly Close & Accrual Governance

  • Own the regional monthly accrual governance process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and transparency of expense recognition across all European markets.
  • Ensure accrual quality through structured review processes, analytical validation, and alignment with forecast expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the accrual calendar, templates, and supporting documentation to improve efficiency and audit readiness.
  • Serve as key regional finance contact during close cycles, ensuring timely issue resolution.

Performance Management & Business Insights

  • Lead structured monthly and quarterly business performance reviews with regional leadership, ensuring clarity on drivers of revenue, Gross-to-Net, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready insights highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities across markets and products.
  • Foster a "no surprises" culture by proactively surfacing emerging risks and performance gaps well in advance of formal planning cycles.
  • Support performance optimization initiatives by identifying cost drivers, operational efficiencies, and margin enhancement opportunities across the region.

Planning & Financial Calendar Governance

  • Own the European financial planning calendar, ensuring disciplined, timely, and high-quality execution of Budget, quarterly Forecasts, and LRP cycles across all markets.
  • Coordinate planning timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder inputs across commercial, medical, and other functional teams.
  • Ensure alignment between regional submissions and corporate FP&A expectations.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early in the cycle to enable proactive management ("no surprises" culture).

Financial Systems, Data Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as regional owner of financial data integrity and reporting architecture, ensuring a scalable and analytically robust finance environment.
  • Lead governance and continuous enhancement of financial master data structures including: Chart of Accounts, Cost and profit centers, Product hierarchies
  • Strengthen regional data governance frameworks to ensure consistency, transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Corporate FP&A and DD&AI to optimize reporting architecture in SAP S4/Hana, Adaptive Planning, and BI platforms.
  • Support development of advanced analytics capabilities and Drive automation and standardization of reporting processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or professional certification (CPA/ACCA/CMA) preferred.• 8-12 years of progressive finance experience.
  • Strong FP&A background within pharmaceutical or biotech industry a must.
  • Demonstrated experience leading regional reporting and planning processes.
  • Experience working within matrixed, multinational organizations.
  • Proven track record of improving reporting quality and financial transparency.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong command of financial systems (SAP S4/Hana, Adaptive Planning).
  • Experience building dashboards and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and planning calendar coordination skills.
  • Ability to translate financial data into business insights.
