The Role
This is a key role within the Global Supply Chain in driving Flawless Propulsion Launch Execution. The role will require substantial time devoted to developing and refining launch processes and strong communication skills working with a cross functional team to support the plants.
Primary Function to engage with propulsion plants for the purpose of a Flawless Launch Execution. Drive a Robust Launch Execution Process for Supply Chain focusing on Plant Readiness, LOC. Leadership Visibility of Key Risk Areas, Lessons Learned, and Continuous Improvement for Launch Standardized Work (Master Dot, PLOW and PFEP.)
What You'll Do
- Support GPS Supply Chain teams throughout the launch execution process.
- Work with plants to proactively remove and escalate obstacles during launch.
- Interface is required with Engineering, Purchasing, Plant Supply Chain, Logistics, Supplier Quality and Supply Ops.
- Coordination of Supply Chain Launch visits and reviews.
- Focus on developing action plans and bringing Issues to closure.
- Communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers
- Support early identification of supplier risks to include staged capacity, part grouping, contract errors, demand misalignment, PPAP and run-at rate issues, with focus on developing action plans and bringing issues to closure.

Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of work experience in propulsion, supply chain, program/product management, logistics (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered)
- Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to production
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
- Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant launch disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
- Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
- Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.

- Supply Chain Experience floor and office (plant experience).
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
- Material Follow-up activities with Supplier
- Purchasing system knowledge (GPS)
- Project Management experience
- Capacity Management experience
- Knowledgeable of the packaging process, concepts and type of packaging
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Planning Studies, and Demand Change requests.
- Knowledgeable of program timing, applications and schedules
- Lean Material Strategies
- Computer skills and GM On-line software (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook),
- Mainframe systems: GPDS, GPS, MGO-C, E-track tool, ECM, SQMS, GQTS,
- Understanding of GPDP and relationship to GVDP
