Operations Coordinator - SF Bay Area
Onsite: This position is located onsite, 5 days per week. It is a second shift position (2:00pm to 10:30pm) and includes Saturday and Sunday, with the option to take off either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday.

The Role
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the operational processes that support safe, efficient, and consistent vehicle deployments within the AV Operations testing program. This role provides day-to-day operational oversight of testing activities, ensuring all vehicle operator and garage workflows meet program standards and readiness requirements. The Coordinator partners closely with cross-functional teams, drives documentation and continuous improvement efforts, and helps uphold high-quality execution in the AV Operations workflows.
What You'll Do
Operational Procedures & Execution
- Support the development and refinement of executable operational procedures and checklists that ensure safe, ongoing garage operations for operator launch activities.
- Document, communicate, and implement safe driving procedures including vehicle preparation, cleaning, charging, and deployment tasks.
- Assist in documenting and rolling out operational procedures related to operator activities, emphasizing consistency, safety, and operational readiness.
- Train new operators on fleet safety protocols, safe driving practices and internal process workflows.
- Uphold departmental policies, identify violations, and provide critical feedback/coaching.
- Provide operational oversight on cross-functional focused testing campaigns, including comprehensive post-drive analysis and feedback.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational issues, inefficiencies, or gaps and contribute to solutions through updated procedures and improved workflows.
- Support ongoing operational efficiency initiatives by helping drive improvements from initial identification through successful implementation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with fleet management and other internal teams to support end-to-end safe and efficient operational execution.
- Communicate operational updates, issues, and recommendations clearly and confidently across diverse stakeholder groups.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Experience in vehicle operations management, operations planning, project coordination, or related work within a fast-paced startup or technology environment.
- Ability to travel for short periods of time [2+ weeks] to support cross-country campaigns and market expansion efforts.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Tenacious teammate mentality with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
- Resilient and adaptable - views challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in a similar role at an AV company
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.
- The salary range for this role is $65,200 to $117,700. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
