The Office of the CEO Communications team at GM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven Communications Senior Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to work at the highest levels of corporate communications, supporting one of the most respected leaders in business. In this role, you will lead core communications operations for the CEO's communications team, owning and continuously improving key systems, processes, and internal and external engagements that shape the company's global reputation.

You'll work as part of a small and highly strategic team with a focus on corporate storytelling, media engagement, and executive positioning. This role offers an inside look at the decision-making and leadership strategies that drive GM. What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Social & Speaking Engagements: Lead the planning and execution of CEO appearances, including conferences and internal company events. Ensure content, logistics, and follow-through align with the team's strategic priorities. Own elements of the CEO's social media strategy, including content planning, approvals, and performance measurement, in partnership with brand and digital teams.


  • System & Process Management: Oversee and optimize communications team operations, ensuring smooth workflows across email correspondence, briefing document development, and engagement tracking. Use data and feedback to streamline processes and identify opportunities to increase quality and consistency across CEO communications.


  • Opportunity Management: Monitor and field inbound requests, including a high volume of media inquiries, speaking invitations, and customer needs. Own intake, triage, and strategic recommendations on where and how the CEO should engage.

Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree.


  • 6+ years working in internal and external communications for a C-level executive. Experience leading complex initiatives with high external visibility and reputational impact.


  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to shape messaging, engagement strategies, and decision-making.


  • Experience designing and improving communications systems, briefing workflows, content approval pipelines, and measurement frameworks that support enterprise outcomes.


  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills, with an ability to distill complex topics into clear and compelling messaging.


  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


  • Ability to see the bigger picture of what needs to be done, remain unflappable under pressure, and stay nimble when change is needed.


  • Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.


  • A team-oriented, can-do attitude.
