Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis.

The Role:

As a Launch PFEP (Plan for Every Part) Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the visual management system that calculates supply banks and min/max for every part, PPS & EPS data management as well as analyzing data and modifying banking strategies to achieve inventory targets as it relates to future Launch activities. You'll be creating reports and queries as required to enable buffer management and PFEP processes. This position is responsible for executing deliverables in support of the supply chain's organization's business objectives.

What You'll Do:

  • Download data as necessary using current cycle of events
  • Responsible for the VM2000/VBIMS database
  • Setting buffer calculations
  • Setting up new parts plan
  • Setting plant defaults using plant maintenance tables as needed
  • Maintains a system to oversee overrides
  • Determines criteria for all buffers and performs downloads as required to support the buffer management and plan for every part (PFEP) processes
  • Analyze data and modify banking strategies to achieve inventory targets
  • Supports all plant launch and model change activities
  • Supports and implements plant LMS, Kitting and sequencing projects
  • Implement and track protection of supply banks upon request
  • Participation in PFEP, ECS and inventory teams as required
  • Creates reports and queries as required to enable buffer management and PFEP processes
  • SME for line side material flow systems (PPS, EPS)
  • Problem solving in PPS/EPS
  • Maintain PPS schedules
  • Updates line side material flow system data associated with containerization and job footprint changes
  • Works with 3rd party to develop and maintain visual management systems, alternate min/max's
  • Creates new visual management cards and signs as needed
  • Analyzes ECS report and supplies new visual management cards and signs as needed
  • Analyze repetitive min/max violations, work with Ryder, floor team and 3rd party to root cause and resolve
  • Perform investigations on significant inventory adjustments
  • Maintains ISO standards
  • Implements, monitors and maintains GMS elements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in supply chain or inventory control or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business/information/supply chain, or related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of EPS/PPS
  • Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex
  • Knowledge of material department operation, manufacturing processes & departmental relationships
  • Planning and organizational abilities
