The Role
The HRIT Systems Analyst is a strategic and technical leader responsible for managing and optimizing systems that support Recruiting, On/Offboarding, Talent Development, and People Analytics.
This role ensures seamless integration across SaaS platforms like Workday, recruiting systems, learning systems, and home grown systems in latest technology stack while driving governance, analytics, and user experience improvements.
The Systems Analyst will assess the overall design of assigned technical projects (custom or product strategy) and recommend best practices for solutions based on business needs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to take projects from initial ideation through to successful completion, ensuring that innovative solutions are effectively implemented and integrated into existing processes.
In this role, you will be responsible for HR data foundation and leading the suite of People Analytics solutions and data analytics technology, including platform management (Databricks), comprehensive data modeling, and visualization standards. You will develop and maintain comprehensive data modeling standards across all layers (bronze/silver/gold in Databricks context).

What You'll Do:

  • Lead global technical projects and initiatives.
  • Manage identification and resolution of business and data issues.
  • Act as the main technical contact between business and IT teams.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of business processes, best practices, and technologies.
  • Promote technical best practices and drive process improvements.
  • Stay updated on supplier systems and GM IT platforms for HR.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship within the team.
  • Improve IT customer satisfaction through transparent communication.
  • Coordinate project delivery with vendors and internal IT.
  • Own system functionality and technical roadmap of technology and integrations.
  • Support compliance with accessibility, localization, and regulations.
  • Work autonomously with diverse teams and clients.
  • Demonstrate dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and with high quality.
  • Lead enterprise-level projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to recommend features that will drive business productivity.
  • Consistently meet deadlines with high levels of quality and pushes others to do so as well.
  • Strategically plan the technical roadmap which involves participating in planning processes to define, clarify, and prioritize key technical outcomes that align with business objectives.
  • Participate in all phases of the IT Systems Development Lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
  • Support evolving business needs and drive deliverables to closure with a focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Perform data mining and analysis to uncover insights and support informed decision-making.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or HR technology partner roles in complex, high-growth, or global tech-forward environments.
  • Experience with Workday, and other HR platforms for recruiting, learning, CRM, People Analytics, Workforce Planning etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; advanced Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to interpret and apply API documentation for integration and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced in Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies using Jira.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Demonstrates and models GM's values and cultural behaviors, fostering a winning team culture.
  • Strong business acumen, systems thinking, and the ability to connect HR strategy to latest technology solutions.
  • Experience working with developers and cloud solutions and/or RDBS.
  • Present and participate in architectural/design reviews, and define architectural approaches and best practices for the organization.

  • Master's degree in information systems or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or HR technology partner roles in complex, high-growth, or global tech-forward environments.
