Position Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop Program's certification/compliance strategy to support emissions certification

• Develop and execute certification compliance process for GMM & CCA product programs

• Provide program status for meeting emission certification and timing commitments

• Single point contact for Program's emission compliance issues to Platform, PET & CSRB

• Interface with AMIA, National and International associations / regulations on emission certification and compliance issues. ( Advocacy )

• Life cycle management (ILM) of emission compliance activities

• Perform Program's Certification Planning & Project Management

• Maintain GM Corporate official emission documents

• Develop Carline Information for Government's Emission Application

Knowledge

Powertrain Systems and Calibration, Vehicle Integration, GVDP, CR/DN Process, Performance Integration, Emission Regulations, Worldwide knowledge of emission regulations and processes, Global Legal and Global Document Management database usage, VDS&PPC RPOs, PQMS system

Skills:

High level of oral and written communication skills;

Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms;

Strategic agility to participate in Automotive Regulation forums.

analytical capability to handle unusual and difficult problems

Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others;

Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, control, engine, combustion, exhaust emission engineering,

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required;

Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals

Basic knowledge of MS office and other engineering related software

80% of English (listening, speaking & writing)

Required Skills:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in emissions certification processes , regulatory compliance, and applicable regulations in the country. Certification of technical reports, i nterpretation and application of emissions-related regulations , as well as the execution and monitoring of the tests required to ensure regulatory compliance.
