Customs Origin and Solicitation Analyst

  • Follow up with Global Suppliers on Customs Documents, both email and phone calls
  • Prioritize Workload
  • Create process improvements as needed
  • Audit documents
  • Key documents
  • Escalate non-responsive suppliers as needed
  • Work to obtain a new contact when needed
  • Assist supplier in using Document Solicitation System
  • Promote and encourage suppliers to use Document Solicitation System
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Communicate Document errors to suppliers
  • Processes automation as required

Communication and Relationship

  • Communicate as needed with Customs Origin and Solicitation team and leads
  • Communicate as needed with Customers and Stakeholders
  • Escalating critical issues timely
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

Additional Duties

  • Assist with critical projects when they arise
  • Ability to change priorities quickly

Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration / Business Administration or equivalent
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Technical Knowledge Requirements:

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand, interpret and compare feedback results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access
  • Desirable: competent in Google Workspace tools
  • Desirable, competent in automation tools (Python, Knime, Databricks, RapidMiner)

Non-Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to all levels of the organization
  • Must be detail oriented with a passion for quality
  • High customer service orientation
  • Ability to "learn on the fly" and work in ambiguity
  • Process improvement mindset
  • High level of integrity regarding confidential data (employee survey responses)
  • Above average English communication skills both in oral and written

Experience:

  • English: Advanced


  • Coordinate and follow up with suppliers to obtain and validate documentation related to component imports.
  • Audit supplier documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established requirements.
  • Process and maintain import-related information in the designated systems.
  • Execute processes associated with the importation of components from suppliers.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and follow up with suppliers until the required results are obtained and each operation is successfully completed.
