Join GM Canada's GM Envolve - Fleet & Commercial Sales team as a Conquest Account Manager, where your primary mission is to win new fleet business across our Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac brands.
In this role, you will focus on identifying, pursuing, and securing new fleet customers for GM Canada. Once accounts are established and ready for long-term development, they will transition to an Account Manager based on geography, volume, and growth potential, at the discretion of the National Sales Manager. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a true hunter who loves building something from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Win new fleet and commercial business for GM Canada across Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac.
- Hunt high-potential automotive fleet opportunities in volume, focusing on accounts with an existing FAN (Fleet Account Number) that present strong growth potential.
- Use vehicle registration software and registration data to identify volume opportunities and position GM's full automotive lineup with competitive incentives to earn new commercial business.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan, including prospect targeting, opportunity prioritization, and growth strategies.
- Work in a hybrid model: primarily on the road and based out of your home office, with CHQ Oshawa Elevation Centre (OEC) as your office home base.
- Travel across Central Ontario and elsewhere in Canada as required to engage customers and close business.
- Leverage internal tools and data platforms including GM fleet systems, Polk, Cognos, Autobook, and Power BI to analyze opportunities and build compelling business cases.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers and SMEs within the GM Envolve team, who will provide training on GM systems, processes, and best practices.
- Represent GM Canada with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in all customer interactions.
- Operate a GM company car or truck provided by CVO GM Canada (valid driver's license and clear driver's abstract required).
Required Skills and Experience
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Strong sales skills with a demonstrated hunter mindset and passion for winning new business.
- Strong work ethic and high standards of excellence in preparation, follow-up, and execution.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to influence, build credibility, and inspire confidence at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Superior analytical abilities paired with strong, timely decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to work independently while also thriving in cross-functional team environments.
- Previous automotive retail or wholesale industry experience is an asset.
- Valid G Driver's License.
- Ability to travel within the region (assigned company vehicle provided).
- Core competencies: Business acumen, customer focus, perceptive negotiation skills, and a strong drive for results.

Education and Qualifications
- Successful completion of a College Diploma or a University degree required.
- 2-5 years of automotive sales experience is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $76,100.00 to $114,300.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
