What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Apply independent judgment and decision-making to significant accounting and controllership matters, supporting the South America regional finance team in a multinational environment operating under US GAAP and IFRS.
Own key accounting and controllership processes within the assigned scope, exercising mature professional judgment to identify issues, evaluate options, and propose well-supported solutions to leadership.
Independently interpret and apply company policies, internal controls, and accounting guidance to resolve complex and non-standard issues, operating with general oversight and minimal day-to-day guidance.
Leverage strong communication and influencing skills to engage daily with leaders and peers across cross-functional teams, driving solutions, aligning decisions, and supporting business outcomes in moderately to highly complex contexts.
Deliver tangible organizational impact by translating technical expertise into initiatives that strengthen processes, controls, and cross-functional collaboration across the Controllership function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee accounting activities related to finished goods inventory and monthly revenue recognition, ensuring data accuracy, effective controls, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Execute and review monthly accounting activities, including Revenue Recognition and Sales Incentives, ensuring accuracy and adherence to corporate accounting guidance and SOX requirements
- Work closely with the team to break down complex processes into detailed, step-by-step activities, identifying opportunities for process standardization, efficiency gains, and enhanced internal controls
- Analyze, monitor, and report inventory KPIs, including monthly inventory reports, aging, days on hand, and Net Realizable Value (NRV)
- Ensure alignment between physical inventory and accounting records, including monitoring of in-transit items, adjustments, and reconciliations
- Lead and facilitate periodic business review meetings to discuss inventory aging, trends, and risk items
- Ensure inventory valuation is accurately recorded in accordance with corporate accounting policies
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities by preparing inventory valuation reports and account reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the FP&A team
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls, proactively proposing improvements to leadership
- Provide technical accounting support to business areas on inventory and revenue processes, ensuring consistency with internal controls and accounting standards
- Support internal and external audits, as well as onboarding activities, by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, HR) on business initiatives and regional projects
- Support the team during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of critical accounting and controllership activities
- Act as a technical reference and mentor for junior analysts, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Own the development and delivery of solutions, driving cross team and group efforts
- Lead by example, high level and accountability for achieving or exceeding goals

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor Degree: Accounting
- English from advanced level
- Solid experience and knowledge in the accounting area
- Knowledge in SAP
- Solid knowledge in Excel
- Ability to work independently, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and professional judgment
- Effective communication and influencing skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preference Qualifications)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Desktop automation, Knime, Python
- Active CRC
- Power Platform
- MBA or Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Controllership, Business Administration, Information Technology, or Data Analytics is desired
- Spanish is a plus
