Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara, North.

Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and modifying test scripts, identifying hardware improvement opportunities in customized test equipment, and troubleshooting technical issues. Collaborates directly with clients to address requirements and provide solutions. Develops test solutions to ensure product reliability and quality.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• May develops or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
• Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.

• BA/BS Mechanical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer or equivalent work experience.
• Solid years of experience as a Test Engineer in manufacturing or electronics environment.
• Experience working in mixed shift environments.
• Advanced English level with ability to communicate directly with clients.
• Hands-on experience with functional test equipment and customized test stations.
• Experience analyzing and modifying test scripts and diagnostic test programs.
• Programming experience in Python, LabVIEW, Perl, or similar languages.
• Experience developing instrument drivers and diagnostic tests at card edge level.
• Ability to design and support functional test hardware, computer platforms, and interfaces.
• Experience developing test plans and procedures.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendors for test development, enhancements, and fixtures.
• Ability to identify hardware improvement opportunities in functional test equipment.
• Experience generating quotations for functional test hardware and software.
• Experience working with Linux/Ubuntu operating systems.
• Experience with thermal stress testing and ESS (Environmental Stress Screening).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
