Summary:
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be based in Flex North, reporting to Quality Manager
Responsible for supplier development and quality performance in manufacturing or service processes, ensuring continuous improvement, process control, and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier selection with sourcing (quality, capability, cost, delivery, compliance).
  • Execute supplier qualification: risk assessment, audits, and approval processes.
  • Provide value-added engineering feedback based on drawings and specifications.
  • Manage material/component qualification (PPAP/FAI, FMEA, control plans, MSA, etc.).
  • Monitor pilot runs and ensure smooth transition to mass production.
  • Troubleshoot supplier quality issues as SME; drive corrective actions.
  • Support supplier audits and continuous improvement programs (CIP).
  • Manage ECO/ECN/SCR changes and related qualification activities.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits to ensure ISO/regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and cross-functional teams on supplier management.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to vendor guidelines.
  • Drive process control effectiveness, capability studies, and DOE activities.
  • Develop and validate supplier processes; document results.
  • Support receiving inspection (Gage R&R, MSA, inspection methods).
  • Participate in MRB, supplier improvement plans, and change requests.
  • Implement corrective/preventive actions and analyze non-conformance trends.
  • Track KPIs, dock-to-stock programs, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Guide risk identification for new products, processes, and suppliers.
  • Maintain supplier management processes, tools, and relationships.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Advanced English.
  • ~6 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly, PCB processes, and testing methods.
  • Experience with inspection tools and mechanical/electrical measurement tools.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier quality systems.
  • Knowledge of multiple technologies/functions and their interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of Core tools (APQP, 8D's, 5W, PPAP)
