Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an SMT Testing Engineer located in US Michigan Coopersville.

Reporting to the Automation Manager the SMT Testing Engineer, will be the Responsible for Implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of test for PCBA, Systems, Software, and/or Equipment.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Responsible for implementing solutions on critical items to propose to the customers and to keep in good health the failure inventories of the Repair, RMA and Manufacturing process.
  • Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering.
  • Perform PCBA and System level fault isolation/failure analysis down to component level.
  • Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.
  • Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
  • Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
  • Create and maintain process documentation.
  • Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
  • Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • +2 years of experience in test engineering in electronic device manufactory industry or related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in PCBA and System level testing, debug, verification, and failure analysis down to component level. **most important
  • Statistical Analysis capability that able to perform the data analyze and present to customer/management.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
  • Programming languages/Tools Skill: Visual studio C#, Python, Pascal, .Net, Labview/TestStand
  • Test script programming / editing capability
  • Familiar with Optical and RF measurement and calibration.
