Job Summary
To support our exceptional teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking for a Simulation Engineer.
Reporting to the Senior Strategic Simulation Engineer, the role of the Simulation Engineer is to create simulation models of production and logistics systems using discrete event simulation tools. You will analyze and improve real cases using simulation technologies, create 3D visualizations, compare results with experimental data , and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions, from production process planning to full-scale mass production. You will also support research into the latest simulation-related technologies.

- You will receive a request from the production engineering team to create a 3D simulation model of a specific area
- You will use the model for realistic visual representation and performance analysis of the specific production or logistics system
- You will work with the internal team to provide information on the performance of the modelled area and identify possible improvements
- Interface with the production engineering team to support process design investigations
- Participate as a subject matter expert in design reviews in collaboration with other internal functions
- Support the Senior Strategic Simulation Engineer in the research process of the latest simulation related technologies by gathering information and summarizing literature in the field
- Good knowledge of DES tools (we use FlexSim and Visual Components, but any other DES simulation software knowledge is accepted)
- Experience with 3D visualization and modelling tools (SketchUp, Solid Edge, Nvidia Omniverse, Blender, Unreal Engine knowledge is an advantage)
- Ideally, a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Transportation Engineering - or equivalent
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues in a clear and systematic way
- Readiness to travel (approx 4-6 working days/month , mostly limited to European locations)
- Willingness to learn
